The essentials at a glance
Fanshawe College doesn't publish an acceptance rate; offers depend on meeting your program's requirements while seats are open, and programs such as Practical Nursing and Cyber Security are competitive.
Fanshawe accepts the NEB +2 certificate for diplomas and degrees and a completed diploma or degree for graduate certificates, with each program setting its own subjects. You need IELTS 6.0 for diplomas or 6.5 for degrees and graduate certificates, and you apply on Fanshawe's own Virtual Admission System (VAS) with your transcripts, English result and passport details.
Main points from this page
This guide is for Nepali students applying to Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. It covers the acceptance rate, the grades and English scores you need, the documents to prepare in Nepal and each step from application to study permit. For campuses, fees and scholarships, see our Fanshawe College profile, and for programs, intakes and PGWP status, our Fanshawe programs guide.
Fanshawe College doesn’t publish an acceptance rate. Percentages quoted on other websites are outside estimates, not official numbers.
What decides an offer is meeting your program’s admission and English requirements while seats are still open. Fanshawe says programs such as Practical Nursing and Cyber Security are competitive, with more qualified applicants than seats.
When a program has more applicants than seats, Fanshawe chooses them in a set order. Ontario permanent residents come first, then applications received by early February, then everyone else first-come, first-served until the program is full. Grades in the required subjects decide between applicants, so apply early with a complete file.
Fanshawe accepts the NEB +2 certificate (or any 10+2) for diplomas and degrees, and a completed diploma or degree for graduate certificates. There is no Nepal minimum percentage; each program’s required subjects and grades decide.
These rules appear when you choose Nepal under “International Admission Equivalencies” on any Fanshawe program page. Each program compares your subjects with the Ontario Grade 12 courses it asks for. Examples from Fanshawe’s program pages:
For a graduate certificate, send the transcripts and certificate for every post-secondary program you have completed. To see where your +2 grades stand, convert your NEB GPA to a percentage with our NEB GPA calculator.
IELTS 6.0 with no band under 5.5 for certificates and diplomas, IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0 for degrees and graduate certificates, and IELTS 7.0 for health programs. Results must be less than 2 years old.

A few programs differ: Business Fundamentals accepts IELTS 5.5, while Pharmacy Technician and the Honours Bachelor of Early Childhood Leadership ask for IELTS 7.0. Fanshawe also accepts CAEL, Cambridge English and LanguageCert; the full chart is on its English language requirements page.
If your score is short, Fanshawe’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program can replace the test once you reach the required level. To compare scores across Canadian colleges, see our IELTS and PTE guide for Canada.
Your +2 transcripts and certificate (plus college or university transcripts and degree if you have them), your English test result and your passport details, all attached to your online application.
Fanshawe’s document submission deadlines ask for proof of your study permit about a month before the term starts, usually in early December for January starts. Nepali certificates and bank documents often carry Bikram Sambat dates; our Nepali date converter helps you match them to the A.D. dates on your forms.
You apply on Fanshawe’s own Virtual Admission System (VAS), not OCAS, with a CAD 100 payment. After your Letter of Admission, you pay the deposit it states, request your PAL in VAS and then apply for your study permit.
Fanshawe doesn’t publish a fixed decision time, so check VAS and your email regularly. Apply 9 to 12 months before your start date so there is time for the offer, the PAL and your study permit. For the visa stage, read our guides to Canada student visa requirements and proof of funds.
Fanshawe doesn't publish one. Offers depend on meeting your program's admission and English requirements while seats are open. Competitive programs such as Practical Nursing and Cyber Security have more qualified applicants than seats, so apply early.
CAD 100, paid through Flywire when you submit your application on VAS. Fanshawe calls it an application deposit on its fees page and applies it to your tuition when you start classes.
VAS is Fanshawe's Virtual Admission System, the online portal where international students or their agents apply, upload documents, see the Letter of Admission, request the PAL and print it.
Yes for certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas, as long as no band is under 5.5. Degrees and graduate certificates need IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0, and health programs such as Practical Nursing need 7.0.
Fanshawe doesn't publish a Nepal minimum percentage. It accepts the NEB +2 certificate, and each program sets its subjects: Practical Nursing needs 65 in English, Biology, Chemistry and Math, and the Bachelor of Commerce needs a 65% average.
After you pay the deposit on your Letter of Admission. The payment can take two business days to show; then you or your agent click Request PAL in VAS and print the PAL when Fanshawe emails that it is ready.
