About Fanshawe College

Every fall, a wave of Nepali students arrives in London, Ontario, and finds their way to Fanshawe College (official site) – a public college founded in 1967 that has grown into one of Ontario’s largest colleges, with campuses across London and the surrounding region.

Fanshawe is best known for media, broadcasting and design – it’s the only Canadian college to win the RTDNA Bill Hutton Award for broadcast journalism, and it runs its own teaching radio station, CIXX-FM 106.9 The X. Alongside that, Fanshawe has strong Business, IT and Health Sciences faculties, including an Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Fanshawe’s on-campus residence in London offers a mix of traditional and townhouse-style rooms, with roughly 1,600 beds in total.
