About Sheridan College

Ask a working animator anywhere in the world where Canada’s best animation training happens, and one name comes up again and again: Sheridan College. Seven of its animation graduates have won Academy Awards, including Domee Shi, who directed Pixar’s Turning Red and won an Oscar for the short film Bao, and Sheridan alumni have worked on more than 40 Disney and Pixar features. That reputation was built over more than five decades at Sheridan’s Trafalgar Road campus in Oakville, Ontario, where the animation program has trained illustrators, storyboard artists and directors since the 1970s.

But Sheridan is far bigger than animation alone. Founded in 1967, it now teaches business, technology, health, skilled trades and community services alongside its famous arts programs, spread across three campuses in the Greater Toronto Area. For Nepalese students, that mix of a globally respected creative program and career-focused business and tech diplomas is a big part of the appeal.

This page walks through what Sheridan actually offers — its campuses, programs, admission requirements and everyday student life — with support available through Goreto’s education counselling in Nepal for anyone applying to study in Canada.
