Ask a Georgian College graduate about their program and you will usually get a story about a co-op placement, not a classroom. Since 1967, Georgian College has grown from a single Barrie campus into a network of seven Ontario campuses, built around the idea that students learn fastest by doing. For Nepali students planning to study in Canada, that hands-on reputation — especially in business, health sciences, media and design, and skilled trades — is a big part of the draw. You can browse the full list of programs and campuses on the official Georgian College website.
Roughly 13,000 students study at Georgian each year, including a growing international cohort of around 1,500. The college’s main campus sits on 140 acres on the northeast edge of Barrie, about ninety minutes north of Toronto.
Georgian College currently has 7 campuses. They are listed below :
| S.No | Campus Name | City | Province | Country |
| 1. | South Georgian Bay | Collingwood | Ontario | Canada |
| 2. | Orillia Campus | Orillia | Ontario | Canada |
| 3. | Toronto | Toronto | Ontario | Canada |
| 4. | Barrie | Barrie | Ontario | Canada |
| 5. | Orangeville | Orangeville | Ontario | Canada |
| 6. | Downtown Barrie | Barrie | Ontario | Canada |
| 7. | Owen Sound Campus | Owen Sound | Ontario | Canada |
Georgian is consolidating its Orillia and Muskoka-area programming into the Barrie campus in phases through 2026 and 2027, so it is worth confirming your program’s campus directly with Georgian before you apply.
Georgian College currently offers over 130 full-time programs across certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, degree, and graduate certificate levels. The rough breakdown by level is listed below:
| S.NO | PROGRAM LEVEL | NUMBER OF COURSES |
| 1 | Diploma | 244 |
| 2 | Post Graduate | 124 |
| 3 | Advanced Diploma | 96 |
| 4 | Certificate | 48 |
| 5 | Bachelors | 16 |
| 6 | Post Degree Certificate | 8 |
International students studying at Georgian College can enjoy access to the following facilities on campus.
Some of the notable alumni of Georgian College are:
Tuition varies significantly by program and credential level. As a rough guide, recent first-year international tuition has run from around CAD $17,000 for programs like Business Administration or Graphic Design up to roughly CAD $19,000–$20,000 for programs such as Research Analyst or Culinary Management. Because these figures change yearly, always confirm the exact number for your program on Georgian’s official fees and finance page before budgeting.
Georgian’s Library and Learning Services team runs libraries on the Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound campuses, plus 24/7 online access to databases, e-books and streaming video through Page 1+. On campus you will find individual desks, bookable group study rooms, computers and printers, along with staff who can help with research and citations. If you cannot make it in person, you can always contact the library directly.
Georgian’s Co-op and Career Services office helps students build resumes, prepare for interviews and line up co-op placements that are built into many diploma and degree programs. There is also a dedicated Centre for Career and Employment Community Services, with locations in Barrie and Orangeville, that runs job-search workshops open to students and graduates. You can reach the co-op and career team toll-free at 1-877-722-1523 or by emailing careerandcoop@georgiancollege.ca.
International students at Georgian can work part-time on or off campus within the hours permitted under their study permit, and many pick up on-campus roles — in the library, residence, athletics centre or through work-study postings — arranged through the same co-op and career services office above. Because openings change constantly, check Georgian’s student employment listings directly rather than relying on a fixed list.
Rather than publish a fixed roster of recruiters, Georgian keeps its employer relationships current through the Centre for Career and Employment Community Services employer page, where local and national companies post open roles for students and graduates year-round.
Georgian runs three main intakes a year — January, May and September — though not every program is open in every intake. Talk to your Goreto counsellor early to confirm which intake fits your chosen program, since popular co-op programs can fill up months in advance.

Georgian’s exact document checklist depends on your program and study level, but expect to prepare:
For a full, up-to-date checklist and templates, see Goreto’s study-abroad resources page.
Georgian reviews applications on a rolling basis until programs fill, so applying earlier is always better — especially for competitive co-op programs. As a general rule, apply 9–12 months ahead of your intended intake (January, May or September) so there is enough time for offer processing, a study permit, and travel planning.
