Ask a Langara student why they picked a small public college over a big-name university, and the answer is usually the transfer credit: two years here, then straight into third year at UBC, SFU, or another top BC university – without paying university tuition for first- and second-year courses. Langara College has built its reputation on exactly that pathway.
Founded in 1994 as an independent public college on Vancouver’s east side, Langara now welcomes close to 19,000 students a year, including thousands of international students from nearly 100 countries. It offers more than 150 university-transfer, career, and degree programs across arts, science, business, and health.
As the best consultancy in Nepal for Canada, Goreto Consultancy has guided Nepali students through the Langara application process – from eligibility to visa – and this page covers what you need to know before you apply. You can also check Langara’s own official website for the latest program and fee details.

Langara doesn’t have on-campus student residences, so most international students choose between homestay and off-campus housing.
Through the Langara Homestay Program, new international students can live with a local host family while they settle in – a popular option for students arriving in Canada for the first time.
Students who prefer independent living can browse Langara’s Langara Global housing resources page, or check GEC Living, Langara’s partner student-housing provider offering furnished rooms with utilities, internet, and 24/7 support near campus. The international student office can also help with rental listings and questions.
