Centennial College

This guide lists the Centennial College programs that Nepali students most often ask about, grouped by course area, with each program’s campus, open intakes and PGWP status, checked on Centennial’s official program availability and PGWP-aligned lists on 28 September 2026. Which Centennial programs can Nepali students apply to?

For January and May 2027, Centennial lists 94 programs for international applicants. 71 of them are taught on campus in Toronto; the other 23 are online, and online study doesn’t lead to a study permit or a PGWP.

The on-campus programs come in four levels:

• Certificates (1 year) and diplomas (2 years), which you can join straight after NEB +2.
• Advanced diplomas (3 years, or 2 years on a fast track), also after +2, many with an optional co-op.
• Graduate certificates (1 year), for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma.

Centennial’s list for these intakes has no on-campus bachelor’s or master’s degree for international students. Most programs start in January 2027, and about 40 also in May 2027. Centennial’s program availability list shows each program’s status; seats can fill before the intake.

Which Centennial programs are PGWP eligible?

52 of the 71 on-campus programs are on Centennial’s PGWP-aligned list. Business Accounting, Business Administration: Accounting, Culinary Management, Baking and Pastry Arts Management, Architectural Technology and Paralegal are not.

If you applied for your study permit on or after 1 November 2024, a diploma, advanced diploma or graduate certificate leads to a Post-Graduation Work Permit only if its field of study is eligible. You also need CLB 5 in English when you apply.

Centennial marks each program as PGWP aligned, with its CIP code, on its PGWP-aligned programs list. Online programs, such as Cybersecurity, Human Resources Management and Project Management, are not eligible. Our PGWP guide for Nepali students explains the rules.

Which Centennial programs are popular with Nepali students?

The table shows Centennial’s on-campus programs in the course areas most popular with Nepali and Indian students, up to two per area, with each one’s credential, length and campus.

Programs are grouped by course area, with PGWP-aligned and open programs listed first (see the PGWP section above for which ones qualify). Centennial takes international applications for Winter (January) and Summer (May) cycles; check the program’s own page for its exact status. What do you need for each program level?

Centennial accepts NEB +2 as the equivalent of Ontario Grade 12. Certificates and diplomas need IELTS 6.0; graduate certificates, fast-track and some advanced diplomas need IELTS 6.5.

• Certificates and diplomas: IELTS 6.0 with no band under 5.5, or PTE 51, plus the program’s Grade 12 subjects, usually English and often Math.
• Fast-track and some advanced diplomas: IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0, or PTE 58.
• Graduate certificates: IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0, or PTE 60, and a completed diploma or degree.
• Health programs such as Pharmacy Technician and Practical Nursing set higher scores and subject grades.

How do you choose the right Centennial program?

Start with your background and your plan after graduation, then check the program’s PGWP status, campus and intake before you apply.

• Coming from +2? A three-year advanced diploma, such as Software Engineering Technology or Computer Systems Technology: Networking, gives a longer PGWP than a two-year diploma.
• Already hold a bachelor’s degree? Look at the fast-track advanced diplomas and the one-year graduate certificates, such as Supply Chain Management: Logistics or Construction Project Management.
• Check the campus. Most IT, business and engineering programs are at Progress; health programs are at Morningside; community programs at Ashtonbee; aerospace at Downsview.
• Avoid the online versions if you want a study permit and a PGWP.
