Which Humber programs can Nepali students apply to?

Humber lists 176 full-time programs for international applicants. 174 of them are taught on campus, and 171 of those have at least one open intake for January, May or September 2027.

The programs come in six levels:

  • Certificates (usually 1 year) and diplomas (2 years), which you can join straight after NEB +2.
  • Advanced diplomas (3 years), also after +2.
  • Bachelor’s degrees (4 years), 28 of them, after +2 with stronger grades.
  • Graduate certificates (1 to 2 years), for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree or diploma.
  • Two master’s degrees: Cybersecurity Operations and Management, Master of Computer Science, and the Master of Engineering in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.

Each program shows a status for every intake and campus: Open, Opening Soon, Waitlisted, Closed or Not Available. Seats go first-come, first-served, so check Humber’s international program availability list before you apply.

Which Humber programs are PGWP eligible?

All Humber degree programs are PGWP-eligible, and 123 of the 176 programs for international applicants are marked eligible. Popular programs such as Business Administration, Human Resources Management and Global Business Management are not.

If you applied for your study permit on or after 1 November 2024, a diploma, advanced diploma or graduate certificate leads to a Post-Graduation Work Permit only if its field of study is eligible. You also need CLB 5 in English for college credentials or CLB 7 for degrees, and you must take at least half of the program in class. Humber’s online programs are not PGWP-eligible.

Humber marks each program in its PGWP-eligible program list, with the program’s CIP code. The list shows no “last updated” date, so check it again just before you apply. These popular programs are open to international students but are not on the list:

If you want to work in Canada after you graduate, pick a program from the table below or check the PGWP line on its own page first. Our PGWP guide for Nepali students explains the rules.

Which Humber programs are popular with Nepali students?

The table shows Humber’s programs in the course areas most popular with Nepali and Indian students, up to two per area, with each one’s credential, length and campus.

Programs are grouped by course area, with PGWP-eligible and open-intake programs listed first within each area (see the PGWP section above for which ones qualify). Humber starts programs in September, January and May, but each program sets its own intakes, so check the program’s own page for its exact status.

Tuition for two semesters is about CAD 18,600 to 24,700 for most programs in 2026/27, and each program page shows its own fee. See the fee section of our Humber Polytechnic profile for the range in NPR.

What do you need for each program level?

Diplomas need at least 70 in the required +2 subjects and IELTS 6.0; bachelor’s degrees need at least a B in the relevant NEB subjects and IELTS 6.5; graduate certificates need a First Division bachelor’s and IELTS 6.5.

  • Certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas: IELTS 6.0 with no band under 5.5, or PTE 53. Computer Programming and Analysis asks for Grade 12 English and Mathematics.
  • Bachelor’s degrees: IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0, or PTE 58. The Bachelor of Computer Science in Cybersecurity asks for 65% in English, Physics and two math subjects; BScN nursing needs 75% and IELTS 7.0.
  • Graduate certificates and master’s degrees: IELTS 6.5 with no band under 6.0, or PTE 61, and usually a related degree or diploma. Cloud Computing, for example, asks for computer science, programming, engineering or IT.

To see where your +2 grades stand, convert your NEB GPA to a percentage with our NEB GPA calculator. Program-by-program examples, documents and the application steps are in our Humber admissions guide.

How do you choose the right Humber program?

Start with your background and your plan after graduation, then check the program’s PGWP status, open intakes and campus on Humber’s own program page before you apply.

  • Coming from +2? Look at diplomas, advanced diplomas and bachelor’s degrees. A three-year advanced diploma such as Computer Programming and Analysis or Civil Engineering Technology gives a longer PGWP than a one-year program.
  • Already hold a bachelor’s degree? A graduate certificate related to your degree, such as Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning after a computing degree or Supply Chain Management after a business degree, is the quickest route.
  • Want a business program? Check PGWP first: Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics and the Bachelor of Commerce degrees are eligible, but Business Administration and Human Resources Management are not.
  • Check the campus. Most IT, engineering and health programs are at North Campus, most business degrees and HR at Lakeshore, and several graduate certificates at the Downtown Campus (IGS).

Frequently asked questions about Humber programs

No. The three-year Business Administration advanced diploma was not on Humber's PGWP-eligible list, and neither were Human Resources Management or Global Business Management. If you want to work in Canada after graduating, look at Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics or a Bachelor of Commerce, which are eligible.

Yes, two of its own: Cybersecurity Operations and Management, Master of Computer Science, and the Master of Engineering in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. Both run 2 years at North Campus and are PGWP-eligible as degree programs. The cybersecurity master's is open for January, May and September 2027.

107 of Humber's 174 on-campus international programs are open for January 2027, including Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Programming and Analysis and Civil Engineering Technology.

Yes. The 2-year Practical Nursing diploma is open for May and September 2027, and the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing for September 2027. Both are PGWP-eligible. The BScN needs 75% in Grade 12 English, Math, Chemistry and Biology and IELTS 7.0.

Humber's online programs are not PGWP-eligible, and online study doesn't lead to a study permit, so this guide lists only on-campus programs. For a PGWP you must take at least half of the program in class at North, Lakeshore or the Downtown Campus.

Yes. Current Humber students can apply for a second program, and Humber offers a fee-waiver code for it. Check the new program's PGWP status and your study permit conditions with Humber's international advisers before you switch.
