Loyalist runs three intakes a year – September, January and May – though not every one of its 70-plus programs opens in every intake, and some post-graduate certificates admit only once a year. Because processing, visa approval and travel all take time, apply at least 9 to 12 months before your intended start date rather than waiting for a hard deadline.
Entry requirements vary by credential. Ontario College Certificates and Diplomas generally ask for the equivalent of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with English at the Grade 12 level, while Advanced Diplomas and post-graduate certificates usually require a related diploma or bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA. English proficiency is assessed through IELTS, PTE or TOEFL – see the score table below for the minimums by program level.

Loyalist reviews academic standing individually rather than publishing one fixed GPA cut-off. Strong, consistent grades in your most recent credential make your application more competitive, especially for post-graduate certificates.

Offer Letter Time
Loyalist acknowledges and confirms your application within about 48 hours, and it typically takes around 15 days to issue the offer letter once your application is complete.
