About Kwantlen Polytechnic University

Kwantlen Polytechnic University takes its name from the Kwantlen First Nation, on whose traditional territory the university sits in Metro Vancouver. It started as a small community college in 1981, and by 2008 had grown into Canada’s only polytechnic university – a place where a welding apprentice and a business honours student share the same campus network.
