This is another important part. According to the April 19, 2026 report, NOC revenue is now collected fully online through the government’s Revenue Information Cashless Management System (RCMIS).
Also, when the online self-print system was launched in May 2023, Nepal’s Education Minister had already said students could pay the NOC fee online. That means the newer update is not simply about online payment alone. The bigger relief is that verification for many university-level applicants is becoming more faceless and home-based too.
This comes as a big relief for many students because it makes the NOC process much easier and more manageable. For applicants living outside Kathmandu Valley, or those already busy with admission, visa, and financial paperwork, avoiding travel only for verification can save valuable time and effort. As a result, the full procedure now feels smoother and more practical for many students. Eligible applicants can submit their application online, follow the required steps through the system, and access the approved NOC from their own profile. It can then be downloaded, printed, and used whenever required. The issued document also includes a QR code for verification.
