Accommodation for Nepali Students at the University of Bristol

Finding a good place to stay in Bristol is simpler than you might think.

The university guarantees accommodation for most first-year undergraduates and provides support for postgraduate students too.

After the first year, many Nepali students choose private housing around the city.

Here are your main options:

  • University Halls of Residence
Spread across Clifton and Stoke Bishop, these halls come furnished, include utilities, and offer a strong community vibe. They’re especially popular with first-year students.
  • City Centre Residences
For students who want to live closer to shops, nightlife, and the main campus, Bristol offers several centrally located halls.
  • Private Student Housing
After the first year, Nepali students often move into private flats or shared houses. Popular student areas include Redland, Cotham, and Bishopston — all within easy reach of campus.
  • Homestays
Some students opt for living with British families, which can be a supportive option, though less common for Nepali students.

Goreto helps Nepali students apply for halls, compare housing options, and even connect with flatmates before leaving Nepal.
