Goreto Educational Consultancy conducted its 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM)2026 on January 23rd. This year’s theme, REFINE • REFRESH • RECHARGE, matched the real purpose of the day: improving how we work together as a team so we can serve students better across every branch and every department.

This AGM was not just a yearly meeting. It was a focused performance and learning program where the Goreto team from all branches in Nepal and Canada came together to review overall progress, improve what we were lacking, and strengthen communication and teamwork for the year ahead. The message was simple: no matter how experienced we are, there is always more to learn, and improvement should never stop.

Venue: learning and refreshment in Pharping, Kathmandu

The AGM was held in the conference hall of Haatiban Himalayan Height Resort in Pharping, Kathmandu. The calm, nature-friendly location supported the theme well. Along with formal discussion and training, the program also worked as a short team refreshment session that helped staff reconnect, reset, and return with stronger energy.

Guest training by Rajesh Pathak: communication creates growth

To take the session to a higher level, Goreto invited Mr. Rajesh Pathak (Communication Specialist, Educator and Growth Strategist) as the guest speaker and trainer. His core message was clear: the real growth of an education consultancy in Kathmandu depends on good communication, trust, and a welcoming office environment.

Instead of only speaking, he made the session interactive. Through team activities, we practiced what good teamwork looks like in real time: listening clearly, sharing responsibility, coordinating better, and supporting each other. This matters because in a study abroad consultancy in Nepal, service quality is not only about knowledge. It is also about how we speak, how we listen, how we guide, and how students feel when they are inside our office.

Purpose of the AGM

This AGM was designed around improvement. The main focus was to review how we handle students, improve counseling quality, fix sales and response gaps, and set clear expectations for 2026. The direction was practical and positive. It was about improving systems and performance, not blaming individuals.

Another important reminder shared during the AGM was that we are not here to push quick decisions. As a study abroad consultancy, we work with student futures. Our guidance must be honest, realistic, and based on proper profiling.

Leadership insights: performance review and next steps

Along with the guest training, Goreto’s leadership shared key updates and direction for the year ahead. Managing Director & CEO Mr. Dhiraj Kandel and Senior counselors & Co-ordinators Mr. Prakash Regmi, Mr. YP Lammichhane, Mr. Navin Dhungana, Mr. Prachanda Bhandari, and Ms. Biniya Khadgi reviewed overall performance, teamwork culture, and the practical improvements needed to move forward. The main takeaway was clear: strong results come from strong systems, and strong systems come from a strong team working together.

What we focused on: student reality, trust, and service standards

A major focus of the AGM was understanding student reality and improving the way we communicate. We discussed how mistakes often happen when we do not listen properly, assume instead of asking, or recommend too quickly. Understanding the student first is non-negotiable.

The training also highlighted what students commonly deal with in Nepal: fear of visa refusal, budget pressure, confusion from social media and agents, unrealistic hopes, and pressure to decide quickly. If we do not understand this reality, we cannot guide students properly.

We also aligned on what students expect from a trusted education consultancy in Nepal: honesty, transparency, clear explanation, realistic options, and someone who listens. At the same time, we reminded ourselves what students do not expect: unnecessary pressure, fake promises or guarantees, confusing information, and ignoring concerns.

Conclusion: Refine skills, refresh mindset, recharge as one team

Goreto’s 5th AGM 2082/2026 reminded us that growth is not only about big targets. It is built through daily habits: listening better, communicating clearly, following systems, and supporting each other as one team.

For students who come to Goreto for study abroad from Nepal, whether the plan is study in Canada from Nepal, study in Australia from Nepal, study in the UK from Nepal, or study in the USA from Nepal, the experience must feel consistent, honest, and welcoming. This AGM helped us align on that standard.

With REFINE • REFRESH • RECHARGE, we move forward with a stronger learning mindset, stronger teamwork, and stronger communication, because improvement never stops, and neither should we.
