Algoma charges international students the same base tuition as domestic students, plus a $25-per-credit International Student Recovery Fee. For 2025/26, undergraduate international tuition was CAD 10,762.50 per term (about CAD 21,525/year at a full course load). Algoma’s Board approved a 5% international tuition increase effective Fall 2026 for undergraduate and most Master’s programs, so new intakes should budget roughly CAD 22,600/year before the tuition bursary below is applied. Mandatory University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) coverage adds about CAD 264 per semester for a single student.

The standout offer here is the International Scholars Degree Award (International Tuition Bursary): for new international students starting from Spring 2026, it reduces tuition to roughly CAD 15,000 per academic year. On-campus residence is currently available at the Sault Ste. Marie campus, with options coming to Brampton. All current residence options are private single rooms — Algoma Dormitory (96 students) and Spirit Village (45 beds) are the two main halls.

Residence fees run approximately CAD 5,410–5,910 per term plus a meal plan, depending on the room type selected. Nepali students planning to study at the Brampton campus should budget for off-campus GTA housing until on-campus options open there, and factor Toronto-area rental costs into their overall budget.
