Choosing who handles your Canada application is one of the biggest decisions you make before leaving Nepal. The right consultancy saves you months and protects your file from avoidable refusals.

This page explains what Goreto Educational Consultancy does for Nepali students applying to Canada. It shows how our visa record compares with the national picture, and how to judge any Canada consultancy before you sign up. For the basics of studying in Canada, start with our Study in Canada from Nepal guide.

What is Goreto’s Canada visa record?

Around 94% of Goreto students’ Canada study permit applications are approved. The estimated approval rate for all applicants from Nepal in 2026 is 50% to 65%.

The gap comes from preparation, not shortcuts. We match each student to a course that fits their academic record, then build a file that explains that choice clearly. Our Canada visa success rate page explains how these figures are estimated and what affects an individual result.

What does Goreto do for a Canada applicant?

Goreto supports you through the whole process, from the first profile check to your pre-departure briefing. Each stage is below.

  1. Profile assessment. We review your grades, study gaps, English score and budget, then tell you honestly which options are realistic.
  2. Course and institution shortlist. We use our guides to 36 Canadian universities and 34 colleges to match your course to your background.
  3. Applications and offer letters. We prepare and track your applications, then help you compare offers and accept the right one.
  4. SOP and documents. We review your statement of purpose, academic papers, bank statements and sponsor records until they tell one consistent story.
  5. Proof of funds. We check that your funds meet IRCC’s minimum of CAD 23,448 for a single student, plus tuition and travel. Our Canada cost guide has the full breakdown.
  6. Study permit file. We help you prepare the online application, the PAL or TAL where required, biometrics and the medical exam. The visa requirements guide lists every document.
  7. Pre-departure. We brief you on travel, arrival, housing and the 24-hour weekly limit on off-campus work during term.

Does Goreto charge for Canada counselling?

No. Counselling at Goreto is free, and we charge no consultancy fee. You pay only official costs, such as institution application fees, your IELTS or PTE test, the medical exam and IRCC fees.

IRCC currently charges CAD 150 for a study permit and CAD 85 for biometrics. Whichever consultancy you choose, ask for every cost in writing before you start.

Is Goreto a registered and accredited consultancy?

Yes. Goreto Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is a registered company licensed by Nepal’s Ministry of Education. Our credentials are below.

How do you choose a Canada consultancy in Nepal?

Choose a licensed consultancy that can explain its visa record and lets you stay in control of your application. Use these checks with any consultancy, including us.

  • Licence: ask for the Ministry of Education licence number and make sure it is current.
  • Visa record: ask for the Canada approval rate and how it is calculated.
  • Course advice: a good counselor explains why a course suits your background and career plan.
  • SOP support: they should help you write your own SOP. A copied SOP can be treated as misrepresentation.
  • Costs in writing: every fee should be listed before you pay anything.
  • Your own account: you should hold the login to your IRCC account and see every document submitted.
  • Follow-up: someone should stay with your file after submission, including when IRCC asks for more documents.

Can any consultancy guarantee a Canada visa?

No. IRCC decides every study permit on its own merits, so no consultancy can guarantee approval. Walk away from anyone who charges extra for “sure approval”.

False or misleading documents can lead to a five-year ban from Canada under section 40 of IRPA. The best protection is an honest, complete and consistent file.

When should you start your Canada application?

Start 12 to 15 months before your intake. English tests, admission, the PAL or TAL and the study permit each take time, and popular September programs fill early.

Canada has three main intakes a year: September, January and May. Our Canada application roadmap sets out each step in order, and the intakes guide compares the three.

Where can you meet a Goreto Canada counselor?

You can meet a Canada counselor at any of our six offices. All offices are closed on Saturday.
